Outdoor School is a program for 5th or 6th grade students and the primary goal is to provide them with a safe, respectful and responsible learning environment. *
Cabin Leaders spend a lot of time collaborating and working alongside one another. Briefly discuss your feelings about working with others. and how you manage some of the challenges.
*
Being a Cabin Leader is rigorous yet rewarding. How do you keep yourself positively engaged and motivated during stressful situations?
*
If you were to describe a 5th or 6th grader, what would you say?
*
WOODS places high value on communication. There will be times where you may need to verbally redirect a student. Give an example of constructive feedback and an example of destructive feedback.
*
Group management skills are necessary for all WOODS staff members. Imagine that two students are talking during a field study lesson. List two ways you could help manage and redirect the situation.
